30 Days with Jesus: Day 25

Jesus Prays for You

Scripture - Luke 22:31-34; Hebrews 7:20-28

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been sifted quite a few times in my life. Trial after trial after trial that never seemed to end. My felt like something or someone was out to destroy my life - only to find out I was right. Someone was out to destroy my life! He was/is my adversary, satan. But just like Simon [Peter] in today’s passage, Jesus prayed me through so that I would have the faith to endure and come out on the other side of the trials stronger in faith than before.

Are you going through a trial? Do you feel the pressures of the world closing in on you? Perhaps you’re experiencing marital woes or financial hardships. Maybe you’re having problems with your children. Or, maybe everyone on your job is tripping and they are doing all they can to break you down. No matter what you’re going through, Jesus is praying for you.

He, right now at this very minute, is sitting on the right hand of the Father interceding on your behalf. He’s praying that your faith is strengthened every step of the way so it won’t fail you, and so YOU won’t fail the tests and trials. As much as you feel like it, He doesn’t want you to give up. He’s been exactly where you are, experienced all you’re experiencing and He knows how your faith can waver sometimes. That’s why He’s praying.

First Peter 5:7 encourages us to cast our cares upon God because He cares for us. Cast your cares upon Jesus today knowing that He’s praying for you! Give it to Him and let it go. Trust Him.

Journal

  • What cares can you cast on Jesus today? Make a list.
  • Using your list, pray this prayer, “Jesus, I thank You for praying for me. Right now I’m carrying this care/burden of ___________________. I cast this care on You. I stand in agreement with Your prayer for my faith. It is well with me.” Amen.
“casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.” -1 Peter 5:7
